1 out of 5 stars It's crap   June 29, 2010

Stops working for no reason, even with new batteries.. Controls aren't the best. If it does work for any period of time it drains the batteries ungodly fast. HUGE disappointment.

1 out of 5 stars So Sad   May 24, 2010

Great fun for a short period of time. Then it just stopped working, and no, it was not a battery issue. My four-year-old son is so sad. The Tonka name used to mean a good, sturdy, reliable toy. I guess it doesn't mean that anymore.

1 out of 5 stars Waste of Money! Not as Good as it Looks   February 22, 2010

I got this for my 3 y/o son this past weekend ... I thought it looked like a great first R/C car, and for $30, I thought it would be worth the money. .... I was wrong! What a waste! ... Like other people have said, it uses 7 batteries (wow!), and yet, it only runs for a litte bit before it stops working. We kept having to turn it off/on again to get it to work. ... And the range of the remote to the car is only about 15 feet - so when my son tried to use it in our 25 foot long driveway, the car was out of range before it reached the end. Not to mention, it's not very fast. My son has played with his counsin's traditional R/C cars, and those things MOVE - this one was like a snail in comparisson. Grant it - we were outside on a driveway, so maybe it would have been better indoors, but still, it was a LOT slower than I thought it would be. .... My son was completely bored by the car in less than 10 minutes, and didn't want to play with it anymore after that (Even later in the evening when I tried bringing it out again). So we'll be returning this vehicle to the toy store today.

2 out of 5 stars Good, not great   February 22, 2010

I bought this as a gift, so I have no idea how it is holding up now. The battery installation was a little bit of a problem. We put them in correctly and the car didn't work, so after messing around with it for a bit, it magically decided to work. The whole process was very irritating because the batteries are held in by a screwed-on panel, so make sure you have a tiny screwdriver available. Also, the car does not really flip over when it hits a wall, which really irritates children when they (and you) think that it's supposed to flip over. So, just don't tell them that it will flip over and you'll be fine!
