The High-Performance Titan 380 motor and XL-2.5 Electronic Speed Control is designed and engineered by Traxxas. This new XL-2.5 speed control is packed with impressive specifications that are normally found only on more expensive high-end replacement units. The XL-2.5 features a completely waterproof design, three throttle profiles, Thermal Shutdown Protection, 6-8 cell NiMH compatibility and a built-in BEC. This Truck Is great. My little brother drove it with no expereance and flipped it many times. It is very durable, only causing scratches on the harder crashes. You can adjust the shocks just using one finger, causing it not to flip anymore. the only thing i diddent like was the charger, it takes 6 hours to give you 30 min of run time, so buy the vision peak charger,(around 40$) witch charges the battery in 20-30 minutes. The truck That they sent me was a brushless version, also the "Rick Huseman" edition, thats blue with orange flames. The truck i got had a motor/reciever issue, but i just sent my parts (that were extreamly easy to take off) to Traxxas who fixed them. Overall this truck is great. I would recomend it to any unexperenced or expereanced rc driver.

Down in Akron, Oh there is an indoor track called Classic RC and they race these. My friend invited us down to take his Traxxis Slash 2wd for a spin, it was so much fun! My 11 year old son took to it immediately, well so did I! My friend has been racing it a couple of months and nothing has broken, through spins and rolls, collision etc. The only thing you have to watch for screws loosening, not stripping, just tighten them back up. Maybe some locking adhesive would surely help. Great product! He has the 4wd version as well, they both have their place, but they both are VERY DURABLE. This is not a toy, it is true quality Scale RC, there is a difference!

I bought my son and I each one of these for xmas. I was a bit concerned that it wasn't going to be fast enough, given the fact that this one comes with the brushed motor. These cars are nothing but a blast. On dirt, it's all about constant rooster tails and controlled burn outs/slides. It gets up and moves, whether on dirt or cement (but dirt is just about always more fun#. On wet asphalt after a rain, racing this thing is a makes for a constant grin. Get it up to speed in a straight away, let off the throtle just before the turn and watch it slide through a controlled 180 as you turn the wheel. Freaking awesome. It's tough #thank goodness, my son is 9 and has run it full steam into parked cars, etc.#, waterproof #makes for fun in mud/wet asphalt, etc.), and the 1/16 scale is light enough to get some nice air off of jumps. Never did I think this car would be as much fun as it is.
