These miniature, remote-controlled cars are designed for all-terrain racing. View larger. | Real Working Suspension With front and rear suspension, oval block tires, and a skid plate, this flashy red car is tough enough for all kinds of indoor surfaces. Kids can test the car's performance on carpets, uneven floors, or homemade obstacle courses. The controller/charger features steering control while driving in forward or reverse, a "turbo" button for acceleration, and a trim adjuster that optimizes steering. Recharge Car's Battery in 50 Seconds Before taking the Micro for a spin, an adult should help install the controller/charger's three "AAA" batteries (not included). An included instruction manual guides you through the process of aligning the Micro to the top of the controller to recharge the car's internal battery. A green light indicates the battery is charging, and in approximately 50 seconds, the car is ready for up to 10 minutes of driving time. Conquer Any Indoor Surface Except for very thick shag carpeting, the Micro can drive anywhere in your home. To ensure straight driving, adjust a trim switch located on the car's hood. The controller's throttle and direction buttons control right forward, left forward, right backward, and left backward movements. Accelerate with Turbo Boost Need a little extra power to overcome an obstacle and win the race? Hit the "turbo" button on the controller/charger and send the Micro into overdrive. Each of the different Terrain Titans is wired to a different frequency, allowing up to four different Micro models to race simultaneously. Test your off-road driving skills on a tough, obstacle-strewn floor, against family and friends. The Micro may accumulate dust or lose its front wheels in a driving accident. Refer to instruction manual for the process of removing/replacing both the front and rear wheels. Adults may want to assist when cleaning the car or snapping the wheels back into place. Allot of fun in a small package! July 2, 2010 L. Riley (NJ - United States) Bought this for my two cats for Gifting Day last December. My fiance runs the car all over tile floor and carpet without a problem. The cats chase it and have attacked it, but the lil car takes the abuse and races back for more! The charge only lasts 10 minutes +/-, but it recharges so quickly that the cats aren't even done looking under furniture to find where it may be hiding before we can take it off the charger and start the chase all over again. We all love it. What a fun toy.
cheap...garbage March 4, 2010 MACATTACK (INDIANA) lasted 2 days and quit working...controller is cheap and so is little car...was a pain to get to charge also...stay away..
nice r/c car, a few things to know February 15, 2010 TL (Bayonne, NJ) this rc car is fun to play with. especially with the turbo button and hard wood floors, you can do a lot of power slides and 180 to 360s (with some practice). basically, hold onto turbo and forward, then turn, release turbo button but keep turning ( hold on to either left or right button) and the car will do a quick 180 to 360 depending on how long you held onto the steering. takes a few tries to get it right but it is really fun once you mastered that little trick. this "sliding" should be only possible on hard floors, power slides, 180/360s will not work on carpets/rugs anything that will provide a lot of friction on the wheels. video anyone?
Charging - in my experience, if you charge the car while it is ON (a switch on the bottom of the car), you will need to turn it off and on again in order for the car to run again. also, i noticed sometimes after a few days of not playing the rc car, the initial charge will not be enough. after a few days of not playing with the car, it will require two conservative charging sessions. otherwise, if i only charged the car once after a few days of not playing with it, it will only be usable for about 10 seconds, almost like it didn't charge at all.
Operating range - the controls are only good for about up to 4 to 5 feet. any further, and the car will stutter as it moves and then it comes to a stop. it looks like the IR receiver is located inside the car with thick transparent windows which probably hindered range.
on another note, the gears seem too exposed with nothing to firmly hold it in place. while i was doing a power slide, the rear wheel hit a corner of a wall and one of the gears fell out. no biggie, i just pop it back it and it works again. no permanent damage from what i can see and it is still working weeks after that incident.
Fun until it broke 10 minutes after my son opened it. February 14, 2010 Erica Bolticoff My son got this as a Christmas present, and loved it. After putting it on the charger, it just wouldn't work. We had several of amazon's toys do that to us this year. It doesn't make for a fun Christmas, and I won't be ordering toys from them again.
Did not work out of the box! February 3, 2010 Christian Gutierrez (New Jersey) I bought this toy for my nephew, the delivery took more than 3 weeks and then I opened it after another week. Toy did not work out of the box! Apparently the car's battery wont take the charge from the control. Save your money and buy a better or more reputable brand. My return time expired, so I'm stuck with a piece of garbage and $10.00 less! plus having to buy another toy for my nephew.
