it was fun at first, like the first day, but the spinny thing barley hit the wall and it broke. so i shut it off and got a new part. i fixed it and went to trun it on and the power switch broke. i would not recommend this product.

This is an awesome toy!
It is a toy, don't think that you are buying a hobby r/c helicopter - you are buying an IR (infrared requiring line of sight) tiny little helicopter.
It will take off a smooth surface but will sometimes get caught on carpet.
It will fly forwards and backwards and turn and hover but it won't go super fast
It is loads of fun and you will crash a few times but most likely it will take a while before you have to buy new blades. A great 5 minute diversion from a busy work day.
Oh, and it will eat through AA batteries - get some rechargeable ones!
For the price + amazon prime eligible I am happy as can be!

I purchased this helicopter and had some fun with it. It is hard to control the tail spin and you have to adjust it to get it to fly straight instead of it just spinning in a circle.
I ended up having to purchase more blades because if you run into anything they are damaged pretty quickly. The new blades were hard to install and I ended up breaking a wire that was hooked to the small circuit board inside. I could have tried to solder it to fix it but gave up.
I ended up buying a Copter Pro that has a more flexible blade system and much more easier to handle. It's the same price and a lot more fun. It takes a beating a lot better than this item.

I ordered this for my dad and it doesnt work! It lifts about 6 inches off the ground and spins uncontrollably even after messing around with the remote and trying to tune it. Worst part about it is I can't return it, cause Amazon doesn't sell these!!

I purchased this toy for my 12 year old son. The copter is easy to fly (my first concern was that he would not be able to get it in the air). The battery charging system is very good, it uses the batteries in the control box to charge the copter, and the charge times were not overly long. That leaves the copter's ability to withstand crashes. The body of the bird took many hard landings and survived amazingly well. It was flown only in the house and all floors are either hardwood or concrete. Which brings us to the rotor assembly. The main rotor broke on the first few flights, my son repaired it with scotch tape so the copter flew well into the second day. Rotor damage the second day hangared the aircraft until new rotors could arrive from the importer in California ( a week by USPS). Amazon does not offer Main rotors on their site. Main Rotors are $4.00 each in quantity and are easily broken. My son installed the new rotor and the craft flew as new. The two new rotors broke shortly after they arrived. Costs to maintain this toy in flying condition are very high, but when in repair, it flies wonderfully.
