Fun - but limited March 28, 2010 Nicole Keeler (Salem, MA) These are SO much fun...but you can only use them indoors and the light has to be just right... We brought them outside but the light is too bright and therefore the sensor doesn't work right....
Not so great February 17, 2010 T-Bone (Lincoln, NE) Got a few of these for christmas, and they did not last very long, kinda hard to control and a large space is needed to fly them properly. Broke after about a week of playing.
Charging plug broken upon arrival January 8, 2010 K. Swetnam (St. Louis, MO USA) My 10-yr-old daughter unwrapped this on Christmas with high glee - exactly what she wanted to fly in our apartment with a two-story main room! We popped in the batteries and carefully plugged in the tiny charging cord from the controller/battery case to the plane - but it wouldn't plug in... We discovered the connection that's on the plane (it's female, receives the plug/cord from the batt case) was already pushed into the plane way too far, and appeared to have broken wires behind it.
No matter what we did, we couldn't get the plug to stay in, or the plane to charge up.
I'm returning this and probably won't buy another one.
Yes, it's a very inexpensive toy, I didn't expect it to be very durable. But it shouldn't be broken in such a show-stopping way in the original packaging.
It doesn't really fly December 25, 2009 K. Allen Let me first say I'm no expert but do have some experience with remote control planes and cars. Got this for my daughter for Christmas based largly on the reviews. It charged well and we were ready to go. Trimmed it out as instructed and then tried every which way to get it to actually fly (not hover) with no luck. It remains in a nose up attitude the entire time it is in the air. After several minutes I recharged the battery and tried again with the same results. Charged the battery a third time and tried a few times. The plane then started veering hard right and I was unable to trim it back to straight flight. The only good thing I can say about this is the battery charged easily, the motor ran great and it did not break at anytime even after repeated crashes. Unless I happened to get a bad plane I would not recommend this to anyone.
OK but won't last September 18, 2009 Joan Taylor (Salt Lake City) This toy was picked out through the internet by my grandson (so that was a fun experience) but once it arrived his Mom knew it wouldn't last long since it's made out of steraform vs plastic - I think if we had been in a store I would most likely have moved the 8 year old over to a different air hog.
