1 out of 5 stars Junk...Don't Buy   January 30, 2010

Great idea and looks good in the pictures. Seven year old boy was really excited and spent quite a bit of time playing with it. However, it has two issues. First and foremost, the workmanship is horrible. One of the screws that had to be removed to insert the batteries was already stripped when we got it. The only way to remove the cover was to drill out the screw, then hold the cover on with tape. Then we went out to fly it. Second issue was the rudder was not straight. I'm sure this was intentional so it would fly in a circle; however, the rudder had too much angle and all it did was fly into the ground...over and over. As soon as we removed the plane from the box it was obvious it would not last very long, and it didn't. Good idea, but very poor execution. Definitely not worth the money.

My grandkids love this plane, they are ages 3 & 6. This thing flies for blocks away. Go to a park and stand on a hill for best results. Going to buy another one!!

I gave this to my son for his birthday, and he loves it. It has ended up on the roof a couple of times because it flies much farther than expected. The wind conditions make a big difference on how far it flies, though. A nice kite-flying day is perfect. On a still day with no wind, the plane doesn't go very far. Also, I didn't expect all the turns and loops it likes to do in the air. This makes it even more fun, and there is always a crowd of kids squealing and chasing it. It seems to be quite sturdy, since it's taken headers over and over again with no damage to the nose or wings. The only thing I would suggest is that you set it on the charger gently, since a forceful push can push the plastic part into the styrofoam and then you have to find a toothpick and fish it out again. Overall I would definitely recommend this plane for any kid who loves airplanes.

Awesome and easy to use for my 5 year old! Just watch out - it has landed on the neighbors roof before! Definitely look for a wide open space to fly this in. Love it!
