I got the 1:6 LR3, and thought this one will be similiar. It is not, it is MUCH smaller (my untrained mind did not make teh connection between 1:6 and 1:8, its quite a difference). One instead of two batteries. It is not a bad toy, but you will get bored quickly.

This remote control truck has very little power, was not what we expected to get when it was ordered. There is very little speed to it. It cost far too much for what we got. br /It is a very nice looking r/c truck.
