1 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE.   November 17, 2008

I bought this at Target and it can barely fly for 20 seconds when thrown from the top of a very high hill and then just smashes into the ground. Worthless.

1 out of 5 stars poor quality at a too high price   June 23, 2008

I was dumbfounded when I just saw the price of this plane that lasted our son less than 1 day. The remote stopped working and the styrofoam wings broke the first day. Amazingly enough, I taped it all over and he still throws it like a paper airplane some. I suppose lessons can still be learned in aerodynamics by everything that broke (see, it needed this for doing blah blah blah...) br / br /I would recommend looking for a plane by Kid Galaxy that we bought for less and works incredibly, charging itself each time you put it on the launcher. You should find it easily enough and you'll recognize it by the description of charging it for ten seconds each time.

1 out of 5 stars A mistake   March 10, 2008

I have flown a number of other Air Hogs planes as well as more advanced R/C aircraft that had aileron, elevator, and rudder control surfaces. My hopes were high for this airplane. Unfortunately, it flew terribly. It could barely get off the ground and had very sluggish handling. It was a complete waste of money and time. It is highly unrecommended.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome for a 5-year old and his Dad!   February 20, 2008

I purchased this plane for my son's 5-year birthday since I've been flying my larger "adult" rc planes, and I wanted him to experience the joy of piloting a rc plane. The plane is very light and stable, but it's also very durable. The body is a resilient foam that bounces back from any crash. The nose of the propeller is a soft foam. Even if you hit something, the plane is so light, it does no damage to the plane or what it hits. If someone keeps pushing the rudder to one side and applies throttle, the plane just goes higher and higher. I had to tell my son to bring it down a few times when it came to close to some trees. Even when it was caught in a tree once, it was easy to bring it down with a thrown pinecone without any damage. This is a great deal for a micro rtf plane!

3 out of 5 stars After toggling with it, flies perfect   January 14, 2008

Don't expect this plane to fly perfect out of the box. I've gotten two and neither of them climb very well. You need to fix the elevators, lengthen the rudder for better control, and maybe even add wing surface area. br /This isn't much of building, all you do is remove some adhesives and attach the wing and elevator. br /Pros: br /-long flight times, 7+ minutes br /-durable br /Cons: br /-needs tweaking br /-maybe a bit heavy or underpowered br /-doesn't fly well in wind at all br /I recommend not buying this plane if you understand how to make it fly better.
