 OK for the price, limited controls, very short range July 27, 2010

For $20 it's hard to complain. Real RC vehicles are at least 10x that much. Still, I wouldn't buy another one. Sadly, I only learned this after I already bought three of them for different kids. And all three (different models) worked the same and had the same limitations.
The biggest problem is the range - about 10'. It's also intermittent. Once in awhile, it will work from farther away. But it also fails from very close.
It is not powerful enough for most carpets. Works pretty well on hard floors. Even had trouble on asphalt driveway.
It's also loud and annoying. I ended up taking it apart and snipping the wire to the speaker.
All three kids lost interest pretty quickly. It's just not reliable enough for a kid's short attention span. They have too many toys that work every time.

My 3 year old nephew has been after us for a tiny police car. He didn't quite fancy the big, RC vehicles he already had, just wanted something small. We got him this toy from Amazon. He loves it and plays with it all the time. We love it as well, since its made of soft plastic on the top and front, so if he drops it on the hardwood floor , we don't have to panic. The unfortunate part is that the vehicle don't have sound(sirens) or lights. In one way its good, helps us maintain our sanity , on the other hand, its strange to have a police car with no sirens or lights. At the end of the day, my customer, my nephew is very happy and content. That is all that matters..

My grandson loves to play with this. The only problem is he doesn't want to make the car turn around! He'd rather go to the other side of the room and bring it back to where he started it.

I BOUGHT THIS POLICE CAR BASED ON ONE I SAW AT A FRIENDS HOUSE THIS PAST CHRISTMAS.
I RECEIVED THE TOY NO PROBLEM, SANS THE SIREN!!!!!?????
Upon calling Kid Galaxy they told me that as of 2010 there would be no sounds, sirens etc with these toys. It should be offered with sound, otherwise I would not have purchased this item for my grandson. WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM KID GALAXY AGAIN, AND I WILL BE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THE PRODUCT CHANGE.
THEY DON'T TELL YOU HERE THAT THERE IS NO SOUND, YOU MIGHT READ EARILER REVIEWS THAT SAY THE SIREN SOUNDS ARE GREAT....BUT SADLY THAT IS GONE.
A fun and cute toy for the little hands January 16, 2010

My 2 yrs old son loves it and it's very cute. The best part is it's very durable with it's rubber cover. It's dropped from the kitchen counter top a few times but still works very well.
The only complain is that I wish this car can really turn left or go backward. Now it only can go straight and turn right. It'll be more fun and makes more sense to go all directions based on how it's marked on the remote.
