Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
We are not alone! There are aliens among us and you control their spacecraft! UFO's may soon be spotted in your neighborhood. The Remote Controlled Flying Saucer uses scientific flight principles to perform vertical takeoffs from its launch pad and can soar to heights of up to 40 feet. An ultra light rechargeable NiCad battery pack and a tiny high-efficiency motor drive the unique counter-rotating propeller's body system that provides lift and is so stable it can hover in place. The hand-held remote control lets you regulate the speed of the motor - it flies up and down, and even hovers at your command. Simple to operate.

1 out of 5 stars Got different product than what the picture shows   October 16, 2007

The remote was completely different. The flying saucer was extremely small. The charger didnt fit in the charger slot. I did not get what I purchased. I am angry and would like what I purchased. Please send it to me. My cousin has this product: his is larger and can be charged. I think I should be able to keep the defect as a simple gift for the inconvinience.

4 out of 5 stars Questionable Ad   December 18, 2006

I've had similar product in the past. It is a blast. However, I'm concerned about the advertised 9.0 lbs shipping weight advertised by the seller (price inflation tactic?). compare this item with a similar flying saucer-type item that has a shipping weight of just 2.10lbs. At any rate, shipping charges for the product totaled $13 and change!!! Needless to say, I thinkg I got swindled, but the product itself is pretty cool. Buyer beware.

3 out of 5 stars Fun, but fun ends quickly when it breaks   November 17, 2006

We got two of these for my son for his 5th birthday, he and his 3 year old brother (and father and uncles) loved it. The next time we went to use them, they were broken. They were so loved, I returned them, and got new ones. One remote didn't work out of the package, again, after one use, one of the ships broke. Foolishly, I brought one of them back again, and asked the girl at the toy store about it, she told me that she got them back all the time and said, confidentially, don't buy another, you'll be back here returning it. Guess, what, I got another, and am bringing them back again. They are tons of fun, but only buy styrofoam toys if you live near the toy store with a good return policy. Save your money for something else.

5 out of 5 stars cooler than I thought   October 24, 2006

Was looking for a gift for a 5 yr old. I fly a lot of Rc planes, and he wanted a RC helli. I got this thinking it was a good compromise. It's only got a single control for up / down, but it's surprisingly stable, and with some practice, the throttle can be goosed when it's pointing in the right direction, allowing a little more control. The kids loved it, Definetly the hit of the party. THe adults thought it was pretty cool. and for the price it's a good deal and it works in small spaces. A bit more advanced is the Airace by airhogs. A real flying biplane that actually flies. $[...] at tarXet
